If you are looking for a piece of furniture for your café, restaurant or bistro that’s going to stand out and make a statement, then look no further than this stylish 76cm Tolix inspired bar stool in a sumptuous red colour. Originally designed by Frenchman Xavier Pauchard back in 1934, they were renowned for being sturdy and easily stackable and although his initial customers were hospitals and businesses, cafés and bistros soon clicked on to the fact they were also a great practical alternative to the heavy wooden stools and chairs that most establishments had at the time. The result was that before long, there wasn’t a café in Paris and indeed most of France that didn’t have a Tolix bar stool.
Bright and funky or stylish retro? You decide!
Still keeping the original colours this simple yet stylish replica Tolix inspired bar stool is a great alternative for those wanting to create that same level of style and practicality, but at a fraction of the cost. Although bright red bar stools may not be every café owner’s first choice, the fact is that it can fit in with any number of designs themes and styles. For a bright and funky, yet equally contemporary look, why not group them with other Tolix inspired bar stools in copper, yellow, orange and white colours. Sat against a neutral coloured wall and a plain bar it really does create quite a spectacle. Alternatively sit a row of these under a jet black bar and throw in some chrome or stainless steel and you’ve got a great 50’s retro look.
Strong, durable, and built for commercial use, this rich red Tolix inspired bar stool is the ideal solution for those busy establishments with a high level of customer footfall.
