In today’s blog we’re continuing on our from previous blog with tips 6-10 of our best cafe furniture tips. So let’s get started …..
Tip #6 Provide a variety of seating options
It’s worth bearing in mind that customers will visit your cafe for a variety of reasons, so it makes sense to furnish different areas accordingly. Some customers will want a quick cup of treat or an espresso and to cater to these quick-fix customers try placing a line of bars stools alongside a high counter preferably near the door so they can make a quick getaway. As an alternative you could consider dry bar tables for these customers too – with or without seating. For other customers that want to take their time and linger over a large mocha together with a sandwich or pastry, they’ll want something more comfortable and cosy, which brings us on to tip 7.
Tip #7 If you have space install a sofa or tub chairs
A sofa can be placed against a spare sectio of wall, perhaps with a low coffee table in front of it. Shoppers looking to take the weight of their feet will love sinking into a deep, comfortable sofa with a refreshing drink. Alternatively create a lounge area with tub chairs for individual comfort. These wrap around a customer’s body giving the feeling of a warm hug. Place your tub chairs in groups of two with a coffee table in between them. Consider choosing a sofa or tub chairs upholstered in easy care fabric that can be wiped down in the case of spills.
Tip #8 Consider having a large communal table
Younger customers are more sociable and outgoing than those of previous generations. They’re usually perfectly happy to sit around a table with complete strangers rather than sitting at a table on their own or in small groups. A communal table is also ideal for families or larger groups.
Tip #9 Keep away from straight lines
A room full of tables and chairs in straight rows can resemble a prison visiting room so consider using a mixture of table sizes and seating arrangements to create a space which looks visually more interesting and welcoming. This style of seating arrangement can also be changed periodically to give your dining space a ‘new look’.
Tip #10 Try installing booths if you have the room
Our last tip is to considering installing some booth seating. These often take up less space than a standard table and chairs set up and offer your customers a feeling of privacy and comfort. They’re great for families with fidgety children, since they keep them on the wall side and they’re ideal for people meeting for a talk in private.
